Early 2016 Jaguar was bringing it's first SUV, the F-PACE to the German market and to the streets of Munich – a tough challenge for the British brand in the well defended territory of Bavarian automobiles. The launch campaign had to generate a lot of buzz and capture the attention of potential customers to put a spotlight on the brand new Jaguar F-PACE.
The local events surrounding the launch campaign had to extend to the online world in order to generate a higher reach towards car enthusiasts and Jaguar fans. The local Jaguar dealers together with marketing responsibles and their agency , decided to accompany the launch campaign with a live blog in order to spread the events to the online world.
Professional Photographers and livebloggers provided by storytile accompanied the events and created a live blog over the three days of the campaign.
The launch party with a keynote speech held by a design professor as well as the city tour covering famous spots in Munich ended up with the test drives at the Jaguar dealership on the last day of the campaign.
The Jaguar dealership together with their agency brought the storytile live blog to their online audience managing to push their test drives and product offers to their target group in order to generate enough prospects for time after the launch campaign. An additional branding effect was achieved by creating a positive image of the British SUV fitting perfectly in the landscape of the Bavarian Capital of Munich, complemented by a collection of footage ready to be used in further marketing activities.
